Bus Heater Cores
A full-size school bus can carry three to six heater cores — front, defrost, underseat, and rear units all have their own. We stock cores for Kysor/Bergstrom, MCC, and Omega heater assemblies, with gasket kits where the OEM services them.
Frequently asked questions
How do I match a heater core with no part number?
Measure the core (height, width, depth), note the inlet/outlet diameter and position (same side or opposite ends), and note the heater brand off the housing tag. That's enough for us to match it — send photos to the parts desk if you're unsure.
One heater blows cold but the others are hot. Bad core?
Usually not. A single cold unit is almost always a closed or failed shut-off valve for that unit, an airlock, or a plugged core. Feel both hoses at the unit: two cold hoses = no flow (valve/airlock); one hot, one lukewarm = plugged core.
